Zane, Stone and I went to Chicago to help my friend Marcy pack for her move to a small town in Montana. We had a great time visiting with Marcy and her 2 kids, Caitlynn and Miles. Zane wanted to go back already when we were on our long drive home. Stone has not mentioned whether he wants to go back or not (he’s not talking yet, he’ll do it soon when he’s ready) but he seemed to have a great time, with the exception of one bad day. It was just a rough one for him. It started with him learning from 7 year old Caitlynn that you should bang your head on the bed. While he did it, he managed to bang his eyebrow on the footboard which caused some swelling and bruising. I’ve since explained to him that you only headbang when you are at a heavy metal concert. I don’t think he gets it yet. It is looking much better and really just looks like he has a bad makeup job on one eye.

The day continued to have it problems when he did things like hit the back on his head on the table, slip on the floor and fall and about 3 other things that were at least a little painful for him. Poor guy! He’s a trooper though and a little tougher since his rough day.

Think he’ll learn not to do what other kids show you from this experience? I doubt it.
