Happy Holidays!

Hard to believe 2008 is almost over. It has certainly been an interesting year.

Zane is 4 1/2 now. He started 3 day a week preschool this year and again I wondered if it was a mistake. I had to peel him from the car seat and the teacher had to carry him in for the first few weeks. Then he found his posse. Jake, Justin, Luke and Zane play together almost daily. They have a grand time and Zane really seems to enjoy school. His teacher said that he is excelling at the math table and in the art area. Zane also likes to bake with Stone and me at home. We make up recipes using healthy ingredients. Sometimes the recipes are winners and sometimes, not so much.

Stone is growing up. He’s much taller and thinner now and will turn 2 soon. I just have to laugh when I look back at his roly-poly baby pictures. He is trying to converse, but words are just taking their time to form. He follows Zane around like a little lost puppy and they fight all the time, but still love to cuddle and be loving to one another.

Dave has been doing some DJ work online and contracting. He enjoys playing Guitar Hero with Zane and often come out of his office for a break and some rough housing with the boys.

As for me, I continue to enjoy being home with the boys but often think I should get a part time job so I do not go insane. They are wild little boys and need to be very active. I am continually trying to think of new activities and projects to do with them.

All in all 2008 has been a good year. We can only hope for as good of a 2009. May you all have a very happy, healthy, safe and blessed Holiday Season and New Year!

child labor

You have to love child labor. In your own house anyway. Here is a fine example of our kids earning their keep with something other than their love. It’s about time….

on the mend.

Seems as though we are all feeling a tad better. Was kind of rough there for a while. Stone is starting to cough on occasion, but I am not sure if it is because he is getting a cold or if it is because he is imitating us. He seems to like to do that except for when it comes to talking. I’m hoping he just opens his mouth one day and says, “Mommy, may I have a yogurt please? ” That will be a great day…

bubble family.

Seems like we should be living in a bubble. We just cannot get and stay healthy. I missed Thanksgiving due to a fever and some nastiness. Zane, Dave and I all had a cold while Stone got pink eye. Dave and I seemed to get better for a day and then another cold came on. We’re all still coughing and Dave and I have sore throats. Stone seems to be getting a cold now as well.

Want to come over and play?

Ugh.

So…. Stone just refuses to acknowledge that he has pooped or has to poop. How on earth am I supposed to get him to go on the potty? If I have to change one more freakin’ poopy diaper, I might go insane.
